TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Our 6 days gorilla tracking and wildlife safari in Uganda begins with a pick up at your hotel, followed by a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with stops at the Uganda Equator and Igongo cultural Museum for lunch. In a pope up safari vehicle spare a minute and admire the Lake Mburo wildlife that graze at the road side especially the cute Zebras before driving to the park arriving in the evening for the evening game drive before checking into your lodge of residence. Overnight at Mweya safari lodge, Katara lodge, Bush Lodge, Pumba Cottages.
Day 2: Morning game drive & Afternoon boat trip
A very early start before sunrise for a morning game drives in Queen Elizabeth national park. The activity ends after sunrise as wildlife hides in thick vegetation in search for shades though sting ones graze under the sun giving tourists another wildlife viewing moment as they return back to their lodges for breakfast and lunch. Sometimes if lucky you may spot what you had missed earlier. Afternoon will be spent on the kazinga channel looking at hippo concentrations on water, birds, wildlife drinking water and grazing as well as crocodiles. Leaving Queen Elizabeth Late in evening at sunset returning to your lodge of day one for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tree climbing game drive and transfer to Bwindi forest
Today have an opportunity to view the tree climbing lions of ishasha with a game drive before heading to Bwindi forest National Park where you will track mountain gorillas and get life time memories and moments. Beautiful scenery of plains and thick vegetation follow you all through getting to the park in the Evening for meals and overnight stay at Mahogany springs lodge, Havens lodge, Buhoma rest Camp.
Day 4: Gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest National Park
Wake ready for the trek and enjoy your faty breakfast before leaving your lodge for the \jungle. You will be briefed and later begin your trek which takes 2-10 hours depending on the movements of these shy giants. Other animals and birds might be spotted too while tracking gorillas. You might spot l’Hoest’s monkey, African elephant, birds like the African green broadbill, Grauer’s rush warbler, Chaplin’s flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. You will enjoy your packed lunch in the forest. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at Mahogany springs lodge, Havens lodge, Buhoma rest Camp.
Day 5: Bwindi Forest to Lake Bunyonyi Islands
Have breakfast and leave for Lake Bunyoni Island for a full day at leisure .Chill around the island with leisure activities like swimming, sunbathing, and fishing, boat ride tour to the island, hiking, visit the Batwa and many others. There is a lot to do here so the choice is your.Ovenight at Bunyonyi Birds nest, Bunyonyi overland, Lake Bunyonyi Resort etc.
Day 6: Bunyonyi to Kampala
Rest enough, have breakfast and drive back to Kampala the capital city of Uganda best known for great night life experience. If you like night life better to book your accommodation for this day in the city centre so that you can experience some night life of Kampala city before leaving the country next day back home.
