1 Day Mabamba Shoebill Birding Tour

The Mabamba wetland is one of the celebrated important bird areas next to Murchison falls national park in terms of Shoebill stock species. It’s just in a 45 minutes drive distance from Kampala city and a local community managed wetland. Many bird species can be seen including papyrus endemics, shoebill and several migrates birds. The wet land lies between Busi Island and Buwaya Zziba village found west of Entebbe international Airport.

Trip Itinerary

For birding excellent bird watching experience, set off immediately after breakfast with packed lunch and explore all the wetland bird species without worry. Local guides are available to take you through the entire birding experience on a canoe boat ending the trip late afternoon time to return back to Kampala or Entebbe for the drop off at your hotel of residence or preferred destination.
